Rain race
In class we have been learning how to create a Hiku. A Hiku, also known as Japanese Poetry, requires syllables in a order from (5,7,5) Like in my example below. I chose to write this Hiku because it has a special meaning behind "rain race." As a kid I would picture the droplets of rain racing each other to the finish line.

Make a Clinometer
Materials - Set square
- Cotton
- Sellotape
- Blue tac
- Cut up Rubbers
- 1 meter rulers
Task: To make a clinometer so we are able to measure the height of various objects around the school.
How to make & use a clinometer
After we made the clinometer, we measured:
- The height of a Norfolk pine = 30.5m
- The height of the toilet block = 3.64m
- The height of a Olive tree = 12.5m to 13.5m
- The height of a goal post = 5.65m
We had problems sighting the clinometer, but with a bit of practice we got it. It took 2 people to make sure the string and rubber was hanging straight.
